Hello family!
We have a mazal tov! On Purim night March 23, 2016, (or maybe it was after midnight so it would be March 24th. don't test me on it...) a new baby girl was born to our son Nachshon Friedman and his wife Sarah. I'm posting a picture:

Sarah gave birth in Laniado Hospital in Netanya. That's where our daughter Batya works. Laniado has a special birthing wing for natural childbirths. (Batya works in a department that nobody wants to need: Intensive Care!) I wasn't with them at the birth; I was home celebrating Purim. Nachshon read the megilla in the delivery room for Sara. They were joined by some other ladies who were waiting for their babies to come and some nurses. After the megilla reading, Sarah gave birth. She is ONE ORGANISED LADY! Sarah's mother, Debbie Niskin, came to Israel to help them. She stayed home watching the rest of the kids. She's taking good care of the whole crew, there! Thanks, Debbie!
Nachshon & Sara had another simcha (joyous occasion) a few weeks ago, with the Bar Mitzva of Avner. Avner is their second kid, their first boy, first bar mitzva. He is a wonderful boy, good natured like both his parents. He and his friends enjoyed the Purim theme of the bar mitzva; we grownups enjoyed the fact that Sarah was able to be there and not in the maternity ward. We also enjoyed a facinating lecture by Ezra Yachin, a war hero from Israel's War of Independence. Now in his 80's he still hops into his car to give these lectures all over the country. The lecture was kind of long, but the people who were able to stay for it were spellbound! Kids got to hear how this man, then a kid of 15, risked his life to get the British out of Israel and survive the subsequent Arab attack. Some of his books have been translated into English; if anybody wants one, they should let me know.
